Summit Farmers Market GIFT table (Access to a vehicle is required)
Sundays 11am to 1:30pm, during the Summit Farmers Market season, GRACE partners with Summit Downtown Inc and hosts a donation table at the Summit Farmers Market. GIFT is Give It Fresh Today. This is a great opportunity for middle and high school students, with support for the transportation components.
Volunteers support donation solicitation at the Summit Farmers Market GIFT Table in downtown Summit and then transport food to our distribution center at 100 Morris Avenue.
We need at least 2 volunteers every SUNDAY to complete this opportunity.
Note that this opportunity requires a vehicle/driver to transport donations, but you are always welcome to bring your child(ren) along to help with pickup and drop off, and pairing with parents and students together is encouraged for this opportunity. All children ages 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities. If you have younger children interested in volunteering, please reach out to us before signing up.
The market is located at Park & Shop Lot #1 corner of DeForest Avenue and Woodland Avenue.

Many hands make light work and GRACE needs YOUR help to assist families in need in our community. There are many opportunities for you to help. Thursday mornings we unload the truck from the Community Food Bank, bag produce, and prepare for distribution. We need several volunteers to drive their vehicles to addresses in Summit to deliver groceries to people who can't make it to distribution. Distribution (handing out groceries to people in the community who come to GRACE) is on Thursday evenings from 5-7:30pm. There are also opportunities to pick up bread and bagel donations, and collect donations during the week.
