GRACE volunteers will pick up groceries at GRACE and deliver them to local families within Summit.
The starting point at GRACE is located at The Summit Community Center at 100 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ.
We need several volunteers with vehicles every Thursday between 10:00am to 1pm and 3:30pm to 4:30pm to complete this opportunity.
Each volunteer receives a route with their list of deliveries when they arrive for their volunteer shift. If you know what time you will be completing your shift (morning or afternoon), please add it in the notes when you sign up for this opportunity, if not, that is okay, we are always there to meet you during these shift times.
If you ever need to cancel or remove yourself from the signup of deliveries PLEASE send us a message as soon as you know to Suzanne Wagner at operations@gracegivingreceiving.org.
Note that this opportunity requires a vehicle/driver to transport food, but you are always welcome to bring your child(ren) along to help with pickup and drop off.

Many hands make light work and GRACE needs YOUR help to assist families in need in our community. There are many opportunities for you to help. Thursday mornings we unload the truck from the Community Food Bank, bag produce, and prepare for distribution. We need several volunteers to drive their vehicles to addresses in Summit to deliver groceries to people who can't make it to distribution. Distribution (handing out groceries to people in the community who come to GRACE) is on Thursdays. There are also opportunities to pick up bread and bagel donations, and collect donations during the week. Please review the available opportunities and sign up, or reach out to let us know how you'd like to share your talents. Thank you!
